Humor U

Tonight me and a couple friends went to the BYU Stand Up Comedy club's show tonight.

Humor U (get it? lol)

They are plain AWESOME!

There's this one black guy (Stephen) who is our favorite, and we wish he would do the whole show.
Tonight he spent like 5 minutes doing an impression of Bill Cosby as a bishop, and, man, was he good at it!

Perfect Day

This may seem like an odd kind of perfect day, but here's how it went:

Got out of bed at 6:30am on the FIRST ALARM.  Win!

Had time to do hair and make-up. :)

WALKED to campus, and was early for work.

A five hour shift at work, while getting caught up on all homework.

Classes until almost 7 (and staying awake for all of them).

Aerobics class 7-7:50, and talk about endorphins!!

A nice walk home plugged into my iPod, thinking that the 30 degree weather felt nice.

In other words, busy people get things done --and feel good about it!

Ward Tubing Activity

My ward went tubing (like sledding, but on inner tubes instead of sleds) last night for a ward activity.  They had rented out the whole facility for the night so we had it all to ourselves.  It was so fun!  I invited my friend Ali, from Canada, along, and we had a great time together, and you probably can tell from the pictures I've put up.  She brought me a Canadian "touque" (not a beanie, lol) that I think is SUPER AWESOME!  I love love love it!

Anyway, here's some pictures from the night.  (I'm glad I finally have something interesting to post!)

I want to call him Fuzzy Wuzzy for some reason, haha

"Nice touques!"

Kisses for Fuzzy Wuzzy

I look like a chameleon...

Yay tubing!

Those guns are loaded...  prepare to unload!

"O Canada!"

The New Year

I've been meaning to post something recently, but I haven't thought of anything interesting to write.  I still don't have anything super awesome to talk about, but I thought I'd throw out an update for those of you who were wondering.

Christmas break was great.  We went to Mississippi to visit my dad's side of the family.  I absolutely LOVE them, and I had such a good time with everyone.  I like that I am able to spend more time talking and hanging out with the adults, my aunts and uncles, now that I'm getting older.  A part of me wishes I could live near them and see them more often, but I know it wouldn't be what I expect.  I think you are taken for granted when you live close.

Anywho, I really didn't want to go back to Utah after being home.  I think school would seem a lot less torturous if I could see an end in sight.  Right now, I am just wandering aimlessly.  I have little motivation because I feel like I don't 'need' these classes since none of them point in any one direction or at a major.  The good thing, I guess, about this semester is that so far I enjoy my classes.  I just dread the sustained effort I will need to put in in order to keep up.

I'm taking Career Exploration, Life Planning and Decision Making, Intro to Health Professions, Hymns of the Restoration, Living Prophets, and Human Development.  I like all my professors and think that I will enjoy the subject matter okay, so I really shouldn't dread it.

Work is going good.  I still love my job.  I'm glad that I have a job.  The good thing is that I can do my homework while I'm there, so it's great in that way.  I'm considering looking for a second job so that I can pay for my new apartment easier.

Sorry, I hope I didn't complain too much.  It's just the way life is, and I have it good compared to a lot of people in the world.

Hopefully I will have some fun stuff happen soon so that I can have more interesting things to post.  :)
