College Kids Do the Craziest Things When They Get Bored

This past weekend I had a great time with the girls from next door. We planned this whole crazy weekend. Friday night we were going to watch a guest pianist at the HFAC (Harris Fine Art's Center) and Neil came with us. He goes to lots of the stuff like that because he's required for some of his music classes.

We got there late, and the auditorium was already full, so instead we went down a floor and found a practice room and listened to Neil do a recital for us. It was really funny: we stuffed all 5 of us girls in the tiny practice room with Neil playing. I sat under the piano because there was more room. He plays so amazingly. We were all just blown away with his skills. Anyway, we did that basically all night. We also took a while to explore the HFAC. Neil says the building gets bigger every time he comes. There are like 3 basements, and endless halls. It's insane. We were walking down a dark, back hallway and Neil said if he were to commit a murder, this is where he's do it. The rest of us gave him a weird look and started walking away from him fast. It was really funny.

Then we went home to the girls' apartment, and finished watching No Reservations which was already on. It was good, but very much a kissing movie. Poor Neil. Then Christine was ready for an action movie (she's not a chick-flick-er). We went to Neil's apartment and borrowed Last Crusades, which I'd never seen. And, boy, was it good!

I spent the night over at the girls' apartment. It was really fun. We stayed up until 4 in the morning. We are insane!

Saturday I work up and got the day off work. I used the time to do American Heritage reading and laundry. Then I went speed dating with the girls next door. We got all prettied up:

Becca took us to the Cannon Center (actually the new, re-vamped one called the Commons) and she fed us with her meal plan card which she's been getting behind on. She had like 30-something extra meals I think. But it was really good. I felt very sick afterwards, though. I'm pretty glad I don't eat there all the time. lol

Speed dating was great. We have to wait like 2 weeks until we get an e-mail from them telling us if we have any matches, though. Can't wait!

We had and hour and a half to do something before the comedy show we were going to started, so Christine and I decided to explore the HFAC some more.

We got lost, and this security guard guy asked us if we needed help. He showed us where the practice rooms we were looking for were, then we ended up talking to him in the hallway for like a half hour. Poor guy. He must have been very bored. lol. While we were standing there, Neil randomly walked out of the practice rooms, and we were surprised on both sides. Then we got a call from the other girls who were done at the library, and we all met up again and listened to Neil play some more.

Then we left Neil to his practice, and went to Humor U, the BYU stand-up comedy club. Becca didn't have a ticket and they were all sold out, so we told her to go back and have Neil walk her home when he was done. The show was great. I always laugh so hard! I texted my FHE brothers and got a ride home for us, but then we went down to the lobby afterwards and there was Neil and Becca waiting for us to walk home. So, I called John who was picking us up, and he said he would make us fit. Neil laid in the back of the truck, and the rest of us girls stuffed into the cabin. DaNae was laying across our laps because she was the shortest. It was a really fun ride home. haha.

I spent the night next door again, and we stayed up until like 430 this time! We watched the first like 3 hours of Pride and Prejudice while we chatted on facebook to each other from across the room. Isn't the title of this blog just perfect? haha
