Summer........

Ok, so not much has been going on in my life since I came home. Ok, really NOTHING'S been going to tell the truth. I still don't have a job, but something will work out, eventually. And besides that I sleep in until noon (at least) everyday, and then I wake up and spend my day on facebook or reading. Very exciting. I'm home by myself all day, and I've taken to cleaning the house. Woo. I had a couple of babysitting jobs the past week, but that's about the only thing keeping me busy.

I finished reading Infidel that I got from Jessica Martinez for graduation last year. I finally got some free time to sit down and read it, and it was so good! I was just loving reading it. I highly recommend it, especially if you are interested in Islam and women's rights. I learned so much from reading that book, and it really makes me grateful for the freedoms we have in our Western society, and especially for my rights as a woman. Very interesting-- give it a read!

Something remotely intresting that happened this week was that on Friday night I rode my bike to the Avalon ampitheater and watched Bedtime Stories on the big screen there. I saw that movie on my birthday at the dollar theater as you might recall, but I liked seeing it again because I had forgotten all the funny things about it. Anyway, I invited Kim to come watch it with me and she had her parents drop her off and she brought us McDonald's food! It was so fun it see her and chat and eat and watch the rest of the movie. After it was over, we just kept sitting there on the blanket and talked for like an hour after everyone had left. It was really nice to catch up. We're both in the same "have nothing to do all day and can't find a job" situation so it was fun to comisserate. LOL. Then we walked home and stood in her driveway talking some more and almost got hit by Brandon pulling into the driveway. He joined us and we talked a little more then I rode my bike home a little after midnight. Overall, a very enjoyable evening. Kim and I decided to re-read the entire Harry Potter series to fill up our time, and because we've forgotten like everything that happens :)

That's pretty much all I can think about that happened this week. I really enjoyed Stake Conference and all the speakers and the things the Stake Presidency had to say. I like the focus on temples and families that was going on. I especially love President Hawkes' advice to "take these days with eyes wide open." I think there's so much we can learn from the economic hardships and things that are happening in the world.

Well, until next week or something exciting happens, lol, bye!
