Temple Squared

Here are some pictures from my second trip to temple square this year.  This time I went with Clay and my friend Alicia and her roommate Katie.  It was very pretty and we had a fun time.

(I'd taken some pain meds for my leg and forgot that they would make me drowsy, so I was pretty loopy the whole night, haha.)
The Assembly Hall
We got to go in and listen to a high school a capella choir sing for a bit.

Love this side shot of the temple

Temple Square Lights!

This last weekend I had the opportunity to go to Temple Square and see the Christmas lights with some of my ward!  We also watched the Joseph Smith movie in the Legacy theater.  I love that movie more and more each time I see it!

So tall...

I love night pictures of the Salt Lake Temple, or any temple for that matter :)

My first time going in the Tabernacle.
The organ is so pretty!

Lights outside the Assembly Hall

Ooooo, pretty..

Friends again... (whoops my eyes are almost closed)

Yay Temple Square!  I hope to be able to go again in the next couple weeks!

Wallpapers

The other day, I decided I wanted inspiring wallpaper for my desktop.  These are what I came up with.  I like some of them better than others, but they're my first attempts.

Provo Temple in the Mediums of Pencil and Photography

Today I decided to take a walk up to the temple and draw it. It's kind of part of a little "art club" I joined that a few friends have started. They just choose a prompt for the artwork of the week. I just jumped in this week, and their most recent prompt (I think) was to do a building, so I thought I would try the temple. It was a little hard for the first thing I've drawn in a while, but I don't think it turned out too shabby (you can compare to the real thing). I hate trees, so I just kind of made little ghost things where they should be lol.

After my fit of drawing, I just walked around the grounds and took pictures (tons of them).

The Untouchables
(missionaries from the MTC-- eek!)

My artistic spread

I got really into taking pictures of the flowers/plants around the temple

Looks kind of like a phonograph to me :)

Looks like sea anemones!

Mount Timpanogas Temple

Last Friday I went to do baptisms at the Mount Timpanogas Temple in Pleasant Grove, UT. I went with Ashley and her roommate Jessica Coleman, who was also in my ward last year, but I didn't get to know her too well. She's really nice. It was a great experience. It's such a pretty temple! Here are a few pictures I took.

Temples I've been to so far: Orlando, Provo, Mt. Timpanogas, Salt Lake, Draper, Oquirrh Mtn., St. George, Manti, Boise, and Mesa. (That's 10!)

Temples to see soons: Monticello, Vernal, Bountiful, Logan, Jordan River, Ogden. Maybe Twin Falls (6 or 7, making a total of 16 or 17!)

My goal is to visit every temple in the mainland US, and then, who knows, maybe the world!
