Back in the 81st Ward!

Last night after we came back from Walmart after midnight, DaNae dropped me off at my apartment and we said goodnight, then she took our other friend, Ashley, home. I got a call from DaNae a little before 1, saying she was locked out of her apartment at Glenwood, and she wondered if she could crash at my place for the night. I said sure, not really thinking about it. Then she shows up and says, "Sorry, I know you're supposed to fill out a guest form and stuff, but thanks for letting me stay." Then I freaked on the inside. I was supposed to get hall advisor permission and permission from my roommate (who was already asleep at this point) before I could have an overnight guest. I couldn't exactly kick DaNae out, and I didn't want to call and bother the hall advisor, so I just let her stay. They can charge you $40 a night for having an unregistered guest, so I was a little worried about that, but I hope things work out. I'm going to talk to my hall advisor and tell her what happened, just because I don't want to be doing anything behind her back, and ask if that was wrong of me to do, and what I should have done instead, and what to do if that ever happens to any of my girls. It's just a lot of stress and whatever, especially since I have to be the example and enforce the rules with other girls.

I woke up this morning going crazy trying to figure out what ward I am in and when church met. It took a few hours, but I finally hear I was in the 81st Ward, which I was in Fall and Winter, too, and that it was meeting at noon. Perfect-- lots of time to sleep in :) I showed up at church and realized that it's the same bishopric as I had before, too, and I LOVE them! I just made my day to see them all again. Sister Gourney, the Relief Society Advisor, was just so happy to see me because it was a familiar face. I was glad to know I knew and trusted all my leaders already, too. Bishop Robbins was pretty surprised to see me in the audience, and since I'm the only one he knew frmo before, he liked to pick on me. He's so funny. DaNae came to church with me because she'd slept in and missed her meeting time. She left after sacrament to go to Santaquin.

Church seemed pretty long, and I was really tired for some reason, even though I'd slept in. After church I made my famous cookies, then took little nap and so did DaNae (she was back from Santaquin). At 5 we had dinner with some of the other RAs. DaNae came too. It was at Trish's apartment, and Jared and Amy came besides me and DaNae. It was fun. We had spaghetti and bread and couscous and my cookies :) Yum. Then I called my dad for a bit to say Happy Father's Day and chat, and went to ward prayer at 6. That lasted about a half hour. Then I had a building meeting at my apartment right after. Only like 7 girls showed up, which was pretty depressing, but I just need to advertise it more and maybe pick a better time/place.

This week I plan on going around and having mini "interviews" with each of the girls to find out stuff about them and try to learn names. I'm also going to make note cards to learn all of their names with their faces. I hope I can do it fast. It already seems like I don't know anyone, which is essentially true. But I like the people I've met so far :)

I was trying to go to bed early tonight, but seeing as it was still light out at 830 (yeah, I was that tired) I couldn't fall asleep. So I decided to type this in hopes of getting sleepy. But now I'm hungry which is not very good. We'll see what happens. I have class tomorrow at noon, and work tomorrow night from 8 to midnight. Hope class goes well and I can get the stuff done I want to!

Love and miss you all!
