Playing in the Rain

Today I did a lot of random things.

I started off the day making a meal menu for myself. I plan to go to Walmart tonight, and I need a plan for how to spend my money. I didn't eat very well last year, so I want to do better starting now!

I was on-call all morning from 9-1, so I had to be in Wyview and available, I mostly just hung around the apartment.

Then I headed up to campus to try and send a letter, but the post office was closed so I just used a computer to make little flyers for my residents telling them how they can contact me. Then I caught a bus home. It's a little inconvenient that the bus only comes every hour on Saturdays, but I'll live :)

Then I went and passed those out. It's been raining for a while, so I was eating food and such.

Then Amy, one of the other RAs here at Wyview invited me to come out and play in the rain. We ran around knocking on doors trying to recruit people and ended up with a group of 8. We played missionary tag out on the wet grass, which was very slippery. All of us had some pretty good falls. It was a blast. I think those freshman loved it. I want to get girls and guys together and do stuff like that more often :) It's so random and fun, and freshman often don't know what to do with themselves at the beginning of the year.

I don't remember if I mentioned this, but I met my new apartment-mate last night. Her and I talked for a while. Her name is Diana, pronouced "Dee-anna." I was a little worried because she's 24, but I really, really like her. She's from Bulgaria, and she's been at BYU since Winter semester. She's so sweet and shy, but I love her. She's been gone all day, so I think she might be spending a lot of time with her boy friend or something. But she invited me to go to the dollar theater about once a week like she usually did with the other RA. I'm excited!

So, my new bed was elevated when I got here. I liked it because there was a lot more room for storage under it then. But then I slept in it. Oh boy is that scary. It's like a bunk bed without the guard rail. I woke up in the middle of the night on the edge and almost fell off. So scary. I hugged the wall the rest of the night. Guess I'll be doing that for a while until I get used to it. lol

This is the new purse/bag DaNae picked up for me from the bookstore earlier this week. I love it! So cute! DaNae says I'm a hippie. I say I'm a wanna-be hippie. lol

Well, I guess that's it. Tonight when DaNae gets off work we are going to get Frosty's for the Father's Day Weekend fundraiser Wendy's is doing. Plus, we just really love Frosty's! Then we are going to her brother's empty townhouse in Pleasant Grove because some of the food I gave DaNae when I went home is there and I'm gonna get it back. And then we are going grocery shopping at Walmart. Woot! Fun night, eh?
