Temples to Dot the Earth

Well, life is great. That's all I can say. Classes are going well, and work is getting better for me, too. I'm loving getting to meet the girls and spend time with them. And I like the administrative duties I have as an RA as well. It's pretty neat because I get to meet so many new and fun people and make lots of new friends. I love my fellow RAs and all the girls in my building and ward that I've met. I have yet to meet and boys really, but that will be forthcoming :) I can hope at least LOL.

Yesterday DaNae and I went to the open house of the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple. Uuuh-mazing! Seriously it was so pretty, both inside and outside. We took a lot of pictures and had a great time. From the Oquirrh Temple you can look out into the Salt Lake Valley and see Draper Temple across the way to the South, and the Jordan River Temple to the North. Even further than that you can see downtown Salt Lake City, but can't quite make out the temple there. It's way cool! Now West Jordan is the only city in the world to have two temples in it's boundaries. Standing there and looking out was so cool. You can truly see temples dotting the earth!
Moroni got struck by lightning, so his arm and trumpet are black :)

I love to see the temple!

Stand in Holy Places

This is my favorite shot of the day

Look how long I can make my neck :)

I love the sun shining in this picture.
Oquirrh means "The Shining Mountains" or "Glowing"

On the way home we even dropped by the Draper Utah Temple to take some pictures there. It was great fun. I had a little trouble with my skirt because it was so windy, so that was interesting. LOL DaNae and I decided we are going to plan a Utah Temples Tour for this summer, where we spend a day driving to every temple in Utah, just to say that we did it. :) Plus it will be lots of fun and we'll get to see cool new places! I'm excited! 13 temples in one day (did you know there are now more temples in Utah than in all of Europe?? Only 12 in Europe. And exactly one-tenth of all the world's temples are in Utah now, as there are 130 in the world--I love temple facts)

Look, you can see me sitting on the ledge in the bottom right

We're super white, like vampires!

I'm really looking forward to this weekend being Independence Day. Provo has a huge (and free) Freedom Festival going on all this weekend, and one of the girls in my building invited me to come with her. She said it was well worth a visit, and I'm really excited. If any of you don't know, American Studies is my new major, and I absolutely LOVE American History! My patriotic post (or posts) is (are) coming up this weekend, so there's something to look forward to :)

Love and miss you all!
