Alpha Smart

This is the greatest thing ever invented. It's basically a child's laptop. I used to use them in my gifted class in elementary school... then I never saw them again. I always wanted one, because they were really, really cool and I finally found a reason to get one in college. :)

My laptop is pretty heavy to carry around and I decided I want to take notes by typing because it's a lot faster and easier. I don't want to lug my laptop around all day, especially since I'm riding my bike. I thought about getting one of those Netbooks, the mini laptops that are like $300, but I don't have that kind of money. So, I got this fun little gadget on eBay (such a wonderful website) for only $30.

I was so excitied to get it in the mail about a week later, but, only one problem: my computer doesn't have a serial port for the cord that uploads the data to the computer. Lame. So today I went to Radio Shack and they found me this adapter that lets me hook it up to a USB! Woo hoo!

I'm so excited to take notes with it that I was really disappointed when I realized that there is no class tomorrow. Then I realized it was stupid to feel that way. I love the weekend!

Plus, tomorrow will be awesome anyway-- BYU is going to crush FSU!! :D Go Cougars!
