My Kindness Shall Not Depart from Thee

I absolutely love this song, and it has meant a lot to me over the past week. It's taken from scripture in Doctrine and Covenants Section 121; the answer to prayer Joseph Smith received while in Liberty Jail.

This is from a CES Fireside that Elder Holland gave last September. It's the last bit of his talk, then the BYU choir singing the song.




For a little while

Have I forsaken thee;

But with great mercies will I gather thee.

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee

For a moment.

But with everlasting kindness will I gather thee,

And with mercy will I take thee ‘neath my wings,

For the mountains shall depart,

But know, my child,
